General Delgado went to Ateneo too. And as I look at my alma mater's Sesquicentennial celebrations and its remembrance of its heroes, I noted that Delgado was missed out.
Ateneo has aside from the National Hero, Jose Rizal, also produced other prominent figures in our nation's struggle for independence: Antonio and Juan Luna and Gregorio Del Pilar.
We're not forgetting him here.

I tried to soak in as much of the activities except the weather wouldn't cooperate at times.
Here are pictures from my three-day stay.
The parade lasted for an hour and a half (maybe more) and featured several dozen floats, marching bands, and dance troupes. There were police, military, rescue, and civic groups as well. It sure was hot but everyone had a blast.
Street Shake. This fetches for Php 12 bucks.

I love walking around the Ateneo campus late in the afternoons on non-school days or during holidays. Sure when it's busy it's exciting but its tranquil state is preferable.
It's beautiful and all the greens and winding roads are inviting for thoughts of poetry, prose, and song.
