Lamenting my late New Order CD

This is my very first copy of New Order's Substance album. This was manufactured in the United Kingdom by Nimbus recordings. In case you don't know, Nimbus was the first in the UK to manufacture and press CDs making use of a certain technology to allow listeners to experience music in a surround recording. Like in its purest form. Subsequent pressings of Substance were not by Nimbus anymore. Here's what happened to my copy after Ondoy. The term "dead" is never appropriate when applying to worn out CDs but in this instance, it seems right. And it is a Joy Division song that comes to mind after seeing its sorry state -- "Lament" or maybe "This Corrosion" by the Sisters of Mercy.
