Got the 40th Anniversary Edition of Rush's Permanent Waves

Permanent Waves, during its release in 1980, was my introduction to Rush. And it made a case for me getting into progressive rock music. I was amazed at the lyrics of drummer Neil Peart and how layered and yet, tight the band was in spite of being a three-piece outfit. And Geddy Lee -- such a unique voice in rock music. I thought he had a deeper voice than Yes' Jon Anderson whose voice I love. Such a contrast both have with their high-pitched range for rock music.

While Permanent Waves a landmark album, my favorite Rush record is Moving Pictures.

Nevertheless, it is a solid album and one that has great memories.

Happy to have the 40th Anniversary Edition.
