This single came out at the height of the Alternative Nation years. I was in this alt-indie phase and discovering bands on a whim... The Legendary Jim Ruiz Group, Club 8, Papas Fritas, The Pearlfishers, Superchunk, Juliana Hatfield, Slint, The Aislers Set, Morella's Forest, Holiday Flyer, and others.
Picked up this single from Velocity Girl (from the album, Copacetic) for $3 at Kim's in the East Village. Loved it. Got all their albums after that.
