I recall when I first bought the 7-inch single of Ocean Zoo. I was happy to see a Filipino band put out an independently released record. However, I didn't like the music so much.
But when the Dawn came out in 1986, them I liked. I picked up the 12-inch single of "Enveloped Ideas" before I got the full-length album. This is Filipino New Wave I told myself. I collected their next three records too... I Stand With You, Beyond the Bend, and The Dawn Live!
I sort of lost track of them in the late 1980s and was pleasantly surprised to know that they are still around and putting out records.
Just happy to have this back (along with the Dawn Live and the Enveloped Ideas single).
