Prized memento: a signed Francis Magalona cassette back in the day

Back in the early 1990s, I became pals with Francis Magalona. I’d go visit him at Broadcast City on Saturdays then we’d head over to Virra Mall and play video games. We’d also worked on a comic book project (that didn’t materialize). Sometimes, he’d hang out at home or crash there (when he’d fight with his better half). He used to live directly outside Ateneo (where Xanland is now located) and later just a few streets away from where I stayed in IVS. We also had this love for anime! During the baptism of my eldest son, he attended (Jet Nieto was one of the ninongs) as well. I think I only have two photos of us during those days —one from the baptism and the other at Eat Bulaga. It was during that baptism where I asked him to sign my cassettes of Yo! and Rap is FrancisM. Still have them to this day. And they play well too.
